India is ahead in the Test rankings. It is difficult to separate the two teams in terms of strength, yet India may be a little ahead in terms of strength. However, according to Brendon McCullum, New Zealand will advance to the final of the ICC Test Championship. The former New Zealand captain, however, has no doubt that the match will be a tough one.
India and New Zealand will battle it out for the first ICC Test championship trophy in Southampton from June 18. Earlier, the Kiwis will play a two-match series against England, starting at Lord’s on Wednesday.
In an interview with India Today, McCullum said that playing the series would put New Zealand ahead in the final.
McCullum said “In my opinion, New Zealand will be ahead by 60-40. Both teams will be close. But the match that New Zealand can practice before the final will be in their favor. ”
“The way New Zealand respects India, I respect India as a supporter. I know how good a team and fighting team they are. I think the match of the great fight will be the final of the ICC Test Championship. Hopefully, the best game will be played and the best team will win. ”
The New Zealand team has been in England since May 17 to play a series against England and after training at the end of the quarantine, they are now ready for the Test series.
