The 18-year-old had signed a deal with Ligue 1, which he did not want to lose next year, for the final 12 months in his term with him.
His medical training was finished on Monday at Clairefontaine in France.
The youngest debutant from Rennes, 16 years and 4 months old, was made in April 2019.
His first team rapidly became a regular, earning 60 appearances during the last two seasons.
When he made his senior France debut against Croatia in the Nations League in September 2020, he became the country’s youngest senior international since 1914, and he scored his first goal a month later in a 7-1 friendly win over Ukraine.
He represented France at the Euro Under-21 Championship this summer despite not being selected for Euro 2020.
Camavinga is Real’s second summer acquisition, following versatile Austrian defender David Alaba, who went to the Spanish capital when his Bayern Munich contract expired.
Real has also been linked with a bid for Camavinga’s France teammate Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, but the two clubs have yet to agree on a deal.
