The 25-year-old sustained the injury during the weekend’s 2-0 Premier League victory over his previous team Everton and afterwards expressed concern that it would prevent him from traveling to Qatar.

Richarlison, who has scored 17 goals in 38 appearances for Brazil, was assured by Conte that he will recuperate in time for the tournament to begin on November 20.

“The player is not in any danger of missing the World Cup, without a doubt. The damage is not very severe. I’m thrilled for the player,” Conte said to reporters before his team’s Wednesday league match at Manchester United.

He is getting an MRI and a scan, after which we will determine how long he needs to recover. He will undoubtedly be unavailable when Manchester United is in town, though. Before the World Cup, I hope he will join us for more games.

Forward Dejan Kulusevski, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since last month, is almost fully recovered, but Conte wouldn’t say if the Swede would play against United.

“The medical staff is attempting to recover him, but there are times when you need to move more carefully and not hasten the process. Sometimes when you do that, the situation gets worse,” the Italian stated.

With 23 points from 10 games, Tottenham enters the match against United at Old Trafford in third place overall. United, who are in fifth place, have a game remaining.

Despite Richarlison’s injury, Conte stated he would still like to use his usual 3-4-3 formation against Erik ten Hag’s club. Richarlison was part of a front three against Everton at home that also included Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

“To decide on another training session. We’ll see. I like to play with a 3-4-3. In my proposal, we have extensively utilized this technique, “Added he.

“Bryan Gil is improving, Ivan Perisic can play like a striker, and Lucas Moura is recuperating from his injuries,” said the manager.
